Mr. Petrous, CPHRM, FASHRM has over 20 years of healthcare safety/risk management experience and been involved in healthcare operations for over 25 years.  He has worked in long-term care, free-standing private psychiatric hospitals and currently for a County owned hospital since 2002.  He has experience in risk management, safety management, life safety management, quality/process improvement, and emergency preparedness.  He works closely with senior leaders on enterprise risk management principles to improve patient safety and operational excellence.

Mr. Petrous has been a member of ASHRM since 2003, he served on the ASHRM Board from 2017-2019. He has also served many roles at the chapter level including the Indiana Chapter President in 2005.  He has also served on and chaired numerous committees and task forces for ASHRM.  Mr. Petrous also provides educational, instructional and assessment services to healthcare organizations with a focus on risks, safety and disaster response.
