Sex Trafficking: What You Should Know
Federal and State statutes, facts and myths about sex trafficking, what we see locally, and next steps (ways to get involved).
Stefanie Jeffers is a graduate of Ball State University where she earned her degree in Legal Administration. Early in her career, Stefanie worked in local government offices. She then transitioned into a position as a paralegal, working in both family and personal injury law. Stefanie has a heart for justice and a passion to advocate for individuals who are disenfranchised by society.
Sarah Hurley graduated summa cum laude from the University of Indianapolis with a degree in Organizational Leadership and worked in the corporate world directing various teams in the U.S. and India in Operations, Compliance, and Risk Management at JP Morgan Chase and Defender Direct for more than a decade.
Laci Knieper is, first and foremost, a mother of two young children. Aside from her role as a mother, she is the Director of Marketing at the White Stone Project, where she is also a survivor consultant, advocate and speaker. She works as a consultant with direct service organizations in Indiana and surrounding states, providing unique client team-building exercises through dance and art.
