  1. Paralegal – Experienced Paralegal needed to join our corporate team.  This self-starter will assist in the preparation of legal documents involving corporate existence and regulatory reporting events to ensure global subsidiary compliance and will liaise with outside counsel, regional management and business partners, as appropriate, in various international markets.  Required are a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent and a minimum of two years of experience in the field or in a related area.  Strong written and oral communications skills and attention to detail required.  Corporate/Business legal experience preferred. Collections Paralegal –  Downtown law firm is seeking a full-time consumer collections paralegal who has experience with drafting court pleadings to add to their team.   This person will open files, do ownership records verification, litigation support and limited telephone work (no cold calling).  Any applicant who wishes to be considered must have at least 2 years of consumer collections experience from start to finish.  Foreclosure and bankruptcy experience is a plus.  We are looking for someone who is dependable with strong organizational skills, is detail-oriented and who will represent our firm in a professional manner.  While we do not provide health insurance coverage, this law firm will reward your talents with a competitive hourly wage.  You will also receive a benefit package which includes a retirement plan, paid vacation and holidays.  We also provide paid parking convenient to our downtown office.   6. Deferral Program Coordinator — Hamilton County municipality seeks full-time paralegal with at least three years of legal and/or office experience to coordinate its Traffic Deferral Program (which allows eligible traffic offenders to have their violations dismissed in exchange for successful completion of the program requirements).  Responsibilities include explaining (by phone or in person) the deferral program to individuals who have committed an ordinance violation, acquiring information necessary for the City Attorney to determine program eligibility, enrolling eligible individuals in the program, collecting fees, and processing and maintaining all necessary paperwork.  Requires ability to: operate a personal computer using Word and other Microsoft Office applications; respect and maintain strict confidentiality of highly sensitive data; accurately record, process and deliver information; follow detailed guidance and instructions, adhere to office procedures and respect chain of command; communicate with members of the public in a pleasant and professional manner (and retain professional demeanor when faced with occasional confused, upset or demanding traffic offender); provide general guidance and assistance regarding the application of deferral program procedures to specific situations; exercise discretion in analyzing and selecting from alternative courses of action; identify actual and potential problems and achieve resolution through application of problem-solving skills.  Must work Monday through Thursday, and at least 37.5 hours per week.  Fridays are negotiable.  Salary $29,907 - $31,104 annually, plus excellent benefits package. Telecommuting and On Site Temporary Paralegal Assignment Opportunities:  Experienced Indiana paralegals and legal assistants needed for temporary and/or contract work to be performed primarily in your home or on site, depending on the needs of the client.  We are currently seeking paralegals with personal injury, medical malpractice, criminal law, trusts and estates or class action/complex litigation experience.  A successful candidate will have: at least one year of paralegal experience, excellent references, good time management skills, attention to detail, good written and oral communication skills, an ability to meet deadlines and a high comfort level with technology/computers.  You must be self motivated and independent.   You can set your own working hours when working on a telecommuting assignment, but must be available by telephone and email during at least 4 regular daytime business hours each day you are working on an assignment.   On site assignment hours are determined by the client.  Our paralegals are paid $15-22 per hour depending upon experience level and the tasks required. You must have a land line telephone, computer with Microsoft Office software, printer and high speed internet connection in your home for telecommuting work.  We provide free long distance for work related calls, voice mail and email accounts.  We also pay one half of your internet connection bill for each month in which you work from home for more than 25 hours.  (7/10/2008)
